My every attempt to share yoga online has been thwarted by ego. Does that sound esoteric and strange? Well, it’s kinda complicated, but the gist is that it always ends up being a head-led endeavor.
It’s time to scrap that crap.
Moving forward, I have but one purpose: Seva– an absolute dedication to selfless-service.
This is a monumental reset. After selling the studio, I’ve spent two years wandering through the nebulous of online possibilities. Don’t get me wrong, there’s a lot of good stuff out there. But the fact is, time and again, I come back to the realization that my heart is not it in. I don’t connect well with the computer.
Instead, I prefer to connect with real people. Sure, I want to share yoga with the world, but what that really means is that I want to help real people in a real way. Doing so means having a direct positive impact on the world around me. This is my small part in making the world a better place.
Really, I’ve got a lot more to say about it all. But, I will do so mindfully, only sharing carefully chosen words as my heart compels. I will make no promise of engaging content or stellar yoga videos. I only give you my word, that when I share, it will be from the heart.
In less than a month I will be traveling to India. There I will be working with a team to build a school and serve the needs of an orphanage. On the home front, I have contacted the local VA to offer free yoga for my fellow veterans and am also providing free private lessons for individuals with significant need.
This is where my heart is at. This is my dharma. This is my focus moving forward.
Thank you for taking the time to check out the website. Please contact me if you have any questions.
Namaste,
Luke
